Company Profile

Auburn Electronics Group was founded in 1991 by current company President, James Welch, Jr. Jim is well known in the electronics industry as the former President of both Volcano Telephone and Volcano Vision and Communications Inc, Pine Grove, California. Jim is a software/hardware designer with a B.S. in EECS from U.C. Berkley. He is a member of both Tan Beta Pi and Eta Kappa Nu. In 1985, Jim was a finalist in the "National Outstanding Young Electrical Engineer Competition". Jim and his wife Alice own Technique Gymnastics, the largest gymnastics center on the West Coast, located in Rancho Cordova, California.

Scott Slater developed ProScore in 1992 out of a frustration with what was currently available on the market in gymnastics scoring software. Scott is an accomplished software engineer with a B.S. in Computer Science from CSU Fresno. Scott, his wife P.J., and daughters Whitney and Sydney are all women’s gymnastic judges. Scott joined Auburn Electronics Group in 1996 and, together with Jim Welch, developed ProSchool as well as the hardware scoring systems for ProScore. Scott Slater now serves as Vice-President of Miracles on Demand and Auburn Electronics as well as key developer of all ProScore/ProSchool upgrades and technical support.

All of the staff at Auburn Electronics have children actively involved in competitive gymnastics.

ProScore has become the most popular scoring software program in the United States. The ProScore scoring hardware is used from East to West Coast, including a brand new 8 by 16-foot scoreboard at the Air Force Academy Gymnastics Center in Colorado Springs. ProSchool is now being operated in both large and small facilities throughout the U.S.

In addition to ProScore and ProSchool products, Auburn Electronics Group and its parent company, Miracles on Demand, Inc., is a recognized electronics development company, specializing in electronics design, testing and manufacturing for companies throughout the United States and Europe. Auburn Electronics is a Borland Developer Site and a Level 2 member of the Microsoft Developer Network.
